St. Patrick's Day parade
Evan and I went over to South Boston for the annual St. Patrick's Day parade today. It was cold (there were even a few snow flurries) but fun. They had plenty of bands. Here are some pics, video to follow!
That hat is just pimpalicious.
The doormen at Sullivan's Pub, right behind our parade-viewing spot on Dorchester Street.
I just had to get a pic with this dude. I was laughing at his friend, who was telling his girlfriend to steal my camera!
Classic.
Duck boat!
The prettiest float had St. Patrick himself.
Evan got some better shots of them shooting the muskets.
This guy was revving up the crowd.
I like this one.
The Star Wars brigade. There were about 20 or 30 of them.
This elementary school marching band was the cutest.
The Boston Baked Bean and his backup band!
One of the friendly sons of St. Patrick and several firefighters made a detour to Sullivan's Pub.
This guy's costume was something else!

Nice pics! I'm not sure how festive most of those Bostonians appear, but Evan informs me that people in the Northeast aren't as miserable in Winter as I assume they must be.
Speaking of Evan, one of those doormen (the one on the right) looks a lot like his Dad.
Thanks, it was pretty festive, especially considering the temperature. And of course we enjoy talking about how miserable it is here in the winter. :P
Yeah, that guy does look like Evan's Dad. [At least the pics that I've seen.]
