What in the . . .

For the first time in many many years I watched the Academy Awards tonight. Or rather, I had the TV on it while I blogged and websurfed. It's just too boring for me to actually watch. What did grab my attention was a commercial near the end. It was a Cadillac ad (though it looked more like a home-furnishing ad until the last few seconds when a Caddy SUV came onscreen) that used a Pogues song for the soundtrack, including the following lyrics:

So I saw that train
And I got on it
With a heartful of hate
And a lust for vomit
Now I'm walking on the sunnyside of the street
Say whaaaaaaa???

Did you change your blog template? I like the gray background!

It was good chatting on the phone earlier this week...enjoy the warmer weather down there. We had snow/ice/HEAVY RAIN all day today. I'm so happy to get out of here for a few weeks.

OH...here's an interesting tidbit. Wendy had a Comcast repairman fix her cable connection last night. 'Turns out he does the lights at Avalon, Embassy, and a few clubs down in Providence. Wendy was a bit frustrated that he was more interested in the lighting in their apartment than in their cable problems. "Why can't the guy just come in and do his job," she asked. Well, I told her lights at Avalon are a big deal...she should feel privileged to have such talent working in her home (but then again, that's the club kid fag talking...).

Yeah I got tired of the khaki color scheme and changed it to monochrome. :)

That Wendy obviously hasn't been to those clubs - Avalon & Embassy have the most bad ass lighting I have seen, man!
