A visit to "The Chapel"

Big ups to Ramon for inviting me to Fenway for last night's game. We had a blast with Becca & Dave, despite the Sox losing and starting pitcher David Wells stinking up the place. You know it's bad when you get the crowd on your ass after your fourth pitch of the ballgame.

"I thought they were saying 'Boomer,'" joked Wells. [from the Globe]

The renovations look great. It was cool to go in early (around 5:45) and watch Blue Jays batting practice. It was the second game at Fenway this season and ended up being the largest regular-season night crowd ever at Fenway (36,378). Update: the record lasted only 24 hours.
