Willie in New Hampshire last month
I was finally able to get ahold of the pictures Stella and I took at the Willie Nelson concert in Durham, New Hampshire three weeks ago. Durham, home of the University of New Hampshire, is tiny. [Why were we going to a show up there instead of in Boston? Because this concert was originally scheduled for May 2004 and was to include Los Lonely Boys, who at that time did not have any Boston tour dates. Willie got carpal tunnel; the show got postponed, rescheduled, postponed again, and finally happened November 11th.] It was at their college hockey arena, which was decked out with photos of current players and coaches as well as historical teams. "It's like Texas football," Stella said.
The crowd was mostly senior citizens (like Willie heh heh). We were the only youngish people in our section except for some drunk and obnoxious Yankee rednecks sitting directly behind us. "People can hold their liquor in Texas," Stella and I agreed. Luckily they left halfway through the show, which was incredible. Whiskey River take my mind . . .
Stella had her badass 4.1 megapixel camera but seems to have put it on a low-resolution setting. Maybe she was saving memory for a video she took [to be posted here soon]. She took most of these I think, though she said mine came out better. I don't even know which ones I took. :P
