Brigham Circle Diner

So lately I have noticed that a young woman has taken the place of the guy who takes your order at the Brigham Circle Diner (the one with the twitch whose accent is so thick it's almost indecipherable). When I went in today to get my tuna sub [with cheese and pickles], I asked about him, thinking he was sick or visiting back home in India. Turns out that was not the case.

"So what happened to the other guy? Is he OK?"

"He got fired for stealing money!" the chick said.

Whoa, I was thinking. I had always assumed that the guy was related or at least friends/business partners with the cook (it's a two-person operation). So the dude was graftin'.

"I caught him on camera." The cook told me the rest of the story about how once he suspected the guy was stealing from the till, he started paying more attention and eventually thought he saw when and how he was doing it. "But I wasn't gonna go to him like that, so I put in a camera without telling him." Once he had proof, he confronted the guy, but he still denied it!

OK so far this story isn't that interesting . . . now for the kicker.

So the diner was closed for a few weeks while the cook went on vacation to India. When he came back, the twitchy thief had the nerve to show up and ask for his job back! "He come in, lay on the floor, and put my foot on his head. He was crying. Customers were watching."

Damn I wish I was there for that! Can you imagine? The guy was prostrating himself and begging right behind the counter. What an idiot.

Damn...I never remembered that guy (or maybe I just didn't notice the twitch). All I know is that there used to be some really rude guy there with a thick accent that pissed my friend Ben off when he was visiting me back in October. It probably was him.

Yeah, it was the guy who took your orders. I can't believe y'all didn't notice the twitch. It's pretty unmistakable.
