Odds & Ends

I'm at work at the CBR Institute for Biomedical Research, Inc., specifically in the computer room. Hopefully I will get my own machine to keep on my desk in the lab. (They won't let me use my laptop on their network.) Anyway, I am now listed on the Carroll lab website, so check me out. Soon I'll be getting my official CBR labcoats with my name embroidered on them (woo-hoo). I'll have to post some more pics when that happens.

So the other day I watched an interesting PBS documentary on Lawrence of Arabia. I didn't really know who he was and certainly didn't realize the big role he played in the shaping of the modern Middle East. It's a quality movie that sheds some light on recent events by documenting the past. I highly recommend it.

On another note, yesterday was the debut of H Bomb magazine, a new Harvard student "literary/arts" publication that more closely resembles soft-core porn. Evan & I went over to Harvard Square yesterday morning to get our copies [undergrads got theirs delivered for free, but we have to buy it], but they had not yet received them at the Coop. He went back later but was only able to get one copy, so I'll have to go see if there are any left. Anyway, it looks like a good mag, and I might even get a subscription.
